Narrative Feature | Romania/USA | 2025 | English | 95 minutes

At an all-boys water polo camp, socially anxious twelve-year-old Ben (Everett Blunck) is pulled into a cruel tradition: targeting an outcast by claiming the boy has an illness they call "The Plague." As the game escalates, Ben begins to fear the joke might be hiding something real. Sharply observational and visually immersive, THE PLAGUE premiered at Cannes and features Golden Globe® nominee Joel Edgerton (LOVING, HIFF 2016) as the coach and lone adult amongst a standout ensemble cast of young newcomers. With his feature debut, director Charlie Pollinger delivers an astute look at social dynamics between boys as they seek to understand their emerging masculinity. An IFC Entertainment Group release.
