Golden Globe Award-winning filmmaker Fatih Akin reunites with Diane Kruger (IN THE FADE) for this tender coming-of-age tale about the loss of innocence. Twelve-year-old Nanning (Jasper Billerbeck) lives on a remote German island with his devout Nazi mother (Laura Tonk) as World War II is coming to an end. When his anti-fascist neighbor Tessa (Kruger) reveals the Nazi party has fallen, his mother is sent into decline, and Nanning must embark on a journey to feed her, encountering revelations along the way that challenge his understanding of the world and his family’s place in it. A Kino Lorber Release.
