Ahmet (Arif Jakup), a 15-year-old shepherd living in a remote conservative Yuruk village in North Macedonia, finds refuge from his father’s strict expectations through an unlikely secret dream of becoming a DJ. He soon meets a beautiful girl who shares his passion for electronic dance music, but when he learns she is to be married to someone else, he decides to fight for her the only way he knows how: through the power of music. This charming debut dramedy won the Sundance World Cinema Dramatic Audience Award for its playful and heartwarming story of self-discovery amid tensions between tradition and modernity.
