Academy Award® winner Orlando von Einsiedel (THE WHITE HELMETS, HIFF 2016) returns with the cross-continental love story of PK Mahanandia and Lotta von Schedvin. In 1977, PK, a 23-year-old Delhi street artist, embarked on a 6,000-mile bicycle trip in his mission to find Lotta, the Swedish tourist who had captured his heart on her two-month visit to India. Von Einsiedel invites viewers into the endearing, decades-spanning relationship of Lotta and Delhi—using PK’s sketches as a tool to relive their history. THE CYCLE OF LOVE is a heart-warming, epic adventure about risking everything for what your heart tells you.
A Q&A with director Orlando von Einsiedel and special guests is expected to follow both screenings.
