New York Premiere

Documentary Feature | Canada | 2024 | English/Cree | 104 minutes

In the witty and entertaining RED FEVER, Cree co-director Neil Diamond sets out to expose the profound yet hidden Indigenous influence on Western culture and identity, asking one simple question: why do they love us so much? His search to explain this fascination with stereotypical imagery of Native people takes him across pop culture and modern society – from fashion to sports, from summer camps to democracy. Diamond’s playful and revelatory investigation both brings to light histories of appropriation and oppression and celebrates the undeniable influence of Indigenous cultures in today’s world. A Les Films du 3 Mars release.
