MAGIC HOUR

World Cinema Narrative
Back To Film Guide
New York Premiere

Narrative Feature | USA | 2025 | English | 94 minutes

Harriet Peterson (Miriam Shor, AMERICAN FICTION, 'Younger') is a cinephile stuck in the suburbs who longs to be a filmmaker. After Harriet’s husband leaves her unexpectedly, she decides to chase her dreams by enrolling in film school. Inspired by writer-director Jacqueline Christy’s experience attending NYU’s film program in her forties, MAGIC HOUR follows Harriet’s hilarious misadventures as she tries to become a NYC filmmaker and fit in with her much younger peers. Christy’s feature debut is a heartwarming testimony to the transformative power of film and the magic of pursuing your passion, no matter your age.

A Q&A with cast and crew will follow both screenings.
