FOREVER HOME

Compassion Justice & Animal Rights
Back To Film Guide
World Premiere

Documentary Feature | USA | 2025 | English | 56 minutes

HIFF alum Allison Argo (THE LAST PIG, 2017) invites the viewer to reimagine our relationship with farm animals as one that leads with empathy and care. FOREVER HOME documents the heartwarming journey of building the Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge, a unique animal sanctuary in North Carolina founded by Lenore Braford and Paul Drake. While Lenore cares for the animals, Paul is an architect whose innovative approach meets the needs of their furry residents. As they build vertical spaces for goats and sunlit houses for chickens, the couple demonstrate compassion, expertise, and friendship for humans and non-humans alike.

A Q&A with writer/director Allison Argo is expected to follow both screenings.
