The heart-tugging My Mother, My Bride and I is a German film about longing, attachment and what we are all willing to risk for both love and family, as our desires often end up pulling us in opposing directions. This feature tells the story of the loaf-like Erwin, a 41 year old man who has never left his home and the stifling embrace of his tightly wound mother. Living in Bavaria and running a small gas station, Erwin decides that it is time to venture out and buy a wife. He goes to Romania to find a young bride and lands on the young, sexy, fawn-like Irina…much to mother’s dismay.
